Sustainability
It is our responsibility to take care of nature, our skin and future generations.
Therefore, we choose packaging that is made from recycled plastic and boxes that are made of recycled paper. Our labels are created from the mass pulp from other productions. We go out by foot and handpick our plants to preserve our nature. It is our most important resource and therefore, we treat it with the outermost respect.
Bottles made from 100% recycled plastic
All InuaCare's plastic bottles are made from a sustainable material called r-PET. R-PET is short for recycled polyethylene terephthalate and refers to PET-material that comes from a recycled source. We use recycled plastic because we wish to give material that already exists a new life instead of burdening the environment further by producing new plastic.
Boxes made from 100% recycled fibres
As an export company we need boxes around our products to ensure that our primary packaging and product is not ruined during transportation. InuaCare has made the choice only to use paper made from 100% recycled fibre from Europe. So that is guaranteed when you buy an InuaCare product.
Labels made without using fossil ressources
Are made from a material called PP bio which means that no fossil resources are used in the production of them and that it is the pulp from other productions that is utilized to produce our labels.
Carefully handpicked plants and herbs
Nature and environment is always cosidered when choosing ingredients to InuaCare products. Our main ingredients grow far below snow-covered landscapes in Greenland. It’s only within a small period of 3 months, we are able to gently handpick the herbs and plants when the snow melts and they appear at the surface. To preserve nature and make sure that we year after year are able to pick the same herbs and plants, we only pick the top in order for the plant to grow again until next year.
The story of InuaCare
Last year BBC StoryWorks visited us in our headquarter in Qaqortoq, South Greenland and you can see what came out of the visit here. We took them with us out in the field to handpick our plants and herbs.
